Hush: A Tranquil Oasis in the Urban Jungle

The inspiration for Hush came from the designer's vision of combining the style of city buildings with a quiet oasis. The exterior of the building reflects the bustling cityscape, while the metal backlit logo signifies the need for a tranquil space to rest and relax.

Upon entering Hush, guests are greeted by a unique combination of antique oil painting lacquered wood and gray glass, intentionally preserving the original appearance of the building. The beams and pillars of the old structure have been minimally modified, showcasing the raw beauty of stacked slabs and bricks.

The realization of Hush involved the use of innovative techniques and materials. The exterior walls feature green building material clear water mold paint and black iron metal baking paint, creating a striking backdrop. The main visual logo wall on the right side of the doorway is adorned with Portuguese cork, arranged in different sizes and colors to create a captivating layered effect.

Spanning 135 square meters, Hush is a testament to thoughtful design and attention to detail. The long bar counter and display wine rack are illuminated by line lights, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. The surface materials, antique oil painting lacquered wood with two colors and irregular lines, add a touch of modernity and visual interest.

One of the design team's creative solutions was to cover the central pillar, located in the main line of movement, with reinforced transparent glass. This not only prevents guests from accidentally bumping into the pillar but also adds an aesthetic element to the space. The floor is adorned with French eco-friendly super wear-resistant tiles, made from recyclable recycled wood, minimizing material waste.

Hush incorporates intelligent light control, allowing for adjustable lighting and color temperature based on time and environmental requirements. This not only enhances the ambiance but also reduces energy waste, showcasing the design's commitment to sustainability.

Completed in June 2019 in Taipei, Taiwan, Hush has garnered recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious accolade is given to designs that demonstrate practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial standards.
